FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—Today, Oliver Larkin, DSA-endorsed candidate for Florida’s 25th Congressional District, announced the launch of a new campaign ad attacking incumbent Jared Moskowitz, who calls himself a “DeSantis Democrat,” and took Elon Musk campaign donations. The ad launch follows a major canvass kickoff this weekend, during which the campaign knocked on over 2,200 doors and reached over 3,000 voters through canvassing and phone calls. 

Larkin also secured the endorsement of 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, adding major labor support as the race enters its final three and a half weeks. 

Oliver Larkin and Jared Moskowitz have been invited to a Congressional District 25 Voter forum and debate hosted by the Broward County Democratic Black Caucus. Tonight’s 6:00pm debate is scheduled to be the first debate of the primary, offering Moskowitz an opportunity to answer mounting criticism for hiding from voters, like Moskowitz buying Lockheed Martin stock four separate times since joining the House Foreign Affairs Committee in Congress and seeing his personal profits soar since Trump’s Iran war started.

Transcript of the New Ad for FL-25 Congressional Candidate Oliver Larkin:

Larkin: It used to be in America, you work hard, you get the good life. But politicians like Jared Moskowitz sold us out just to cash a campaign check from Elon Musk’s corporate PAC. 

Moskowitz Voiceover: “I’m a twice-appointed Ron DeSantis Democrat.”

Larkin: I’m Oliver Larkin, and I’m running for Congress to invest in US. Healthcare and housing we can actually afford. I’m Oliver Larkin, and I approve this message because we deserve the good life right here in Florida.

Oliver Larkin added that 

"South Floridians aren't getting the answers we need from self-proclaimed 'DeSantis Democrat' Jared Moskowitz. Rep. Moskowitz was the first Democrat in Congress to join DOGE and the only Florida Democrat to vote for Trump's pro-ICE Laken Riley Act, rated Florida’s least effective Democrat in Congress. 

“This and many of his other votes have harmed this district and our country. For months, Rep. Moskowitz has been avoiding tough questions about his record, refusing to hold even a single public town hall since voters sent him to Congress in 2022. It’s pure cowardice. His sense of entitlement and arrogance is unacceptable for a public official. 

“Tonight’s debate will finally expose Rep. Moskowitz as an out-of-touch corporate Democrat who regularly sides with his rich campaign donors and Republican friends in Congress rather than put Florida families first.”

As Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) Congressional candidate wins across the country shake up Democratic primaries and elevate fellow progressives like Melat Kiros (CO-01) in Colorado, Claire Valdez (NY-07) and Darializa Avila Chevalier (NY-13) in New York, and Chris Rabb (PA-03) in Pennsylvania in recent weeks, Larkin—the first national DSA endorsement for Congress this cycle and first in Florida history—is building endorsements, financial support, a growing field program, and polling momentum in the race’s final three weeks.
