Oliver Larkin Announces Campaign Endorsement from Nina Turner, former Ohio State Senator

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 17, 2025

Deerfield Beach, FL — Oliver Larkin’s campaign in Florida’s 23rd congressional district announced the endorsement of Nina Turner, a former member of the Cleveland City Council, Ohio Senate, and national co-chair of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign, in his Democratic primary against incumbent U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz.

“Oliver Larkin is the progressive champion that working class South Floridians deserve in Congress,” said Turner. “As president of Our Revolution, I worked closely with Oliver for years. After our time on Senator Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign, he continued to help us build the progressive movement nationwide electing young leaders to all levels of government. As Oliver steps forward to become one of the next such leaders for the progressive cause, I am proud to offer him my full support.”

Larkin worked as a field organizer and regional field director for the Bernie 2016 campaign in New Hampshire, Nevada, Kansas, Utah, New York, and Rhode Island. He later worked as a digital strategist at Revolution Messaging, a digital agency in Washington, DC that he helped unionize with the NewsGuild-CWA in 2018 while working with Turner and Our Revolution.

“Senator Nina Turner is a personal inspiration to my call to public service, and I am humbled to have her support,” Larkin released in a statement. “As a young activist, I had the privilege of learning directly from her in our strategizing to oppose the first Trump administration and build the progressive movement nationwide. We are united in the belief that South Floridians and working class people across the country are ready for a new generation of independent leaders willing to challenge the status quo and party establishments. Together, we will win not only this election—we will win real change.”

Turner’s endorsement is the Larkin campaign’s first from a current or former elected official. It follows the campaign reporting over $100,000 raised in its first three months in its October FEC filing as it builds momentum against Rep. Moskowitz, who was rated Florida’s Least Effective Democrat in Congress by the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University’s nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking earlier this spring.
