Larkin Joins The Joy Reid Show, Slams Moskowitz Over Caterpillar Stock Trade

Deerfield Beach, FL — Congressional candidate Oliver Larkin called out Rep. Jared Moskowitz on The Joy Reid Show following a Senate vote allowing the sale of Caterpillar bulldozers to Israel to move forward, equipment widely used in the destruction of Palestinian homes and civilian infrastructure.

On April 15th, the Senate rejected Sen. Bernie Sanders’s resolution to block the sale of Caterpillar D9R and D9T bulldozers, allowing the transfer to proceed with bipartisan support.

Financial disclosures show Moskowitz purchased between $1,001 and $15,000 in Caterpillar stock on April 7, 2025, with the trade disclosed in May.

“On April 7, 2025, at the height of Donald Trump’s trade war with China, his so called ‘Liberation Day,’ Jared Moskowitz bought the dip on the stock market and purchased up to $15,000 in Caterpillar stock, the company that is bulldozing houses in the West Bank,” Larkin said. “Congressman Moskowitz's stock purchase has generated a 175% return on investment since that date. He is profiting off of a system that is destroying entire communities.”

During the interview, Larkin also criticized Moskowitz’s broader political positioning and alignment with Republican figures.

“When you have Congressman Moskowitz calling himself a ‘DeSantis Democrat’ and aligning with right wing voices, it raises serious questions about who he’s actually representing,” Larkin said. “Voters in this district want a progressive Democrat who will stand up for our values, not someone acting as a vehicle for fascism.”

The Caterpillar D9 bulldozer has been widely documented as a primary demolition tool in Gaza and the West Bank, including in the destruction of neighborhoods, civilian infrastructure, and forced displacement of Palestinian communities. Recent United Nations reporting has described the scale of destruction as widespread and systematic.

Larkin also pointed to Moskowitz’s financial ties to pro-Israel lobbying groups. Public tracking shows Moskowitz has received more than $1.5 million in total support from the Israel lobby, including hundreds of thousands of dollars in PAC contributions.

“This is how the system works,” Larkin said. “Politicians take money from powerful lobbying networks, trade the stocks tied to that system, and then support more of it in Congress.”

Larkin contrasted his campaign directly with Moskowitz’s funding sources.

“I reject all of it. I do not take AIPAC money. I do not take corporate PAC money. And I will not profit from war,” Larkin said.

The issue is emerging as a defining contrast in Florida’s 23rd District Democratic primary, where a majority of voters support reducing or ending U.S. military aid to Israel.

Larkin is running on a platform that includes ending U.S. support for Israel’s war in Gaza, suspending military aid under the Leahy Law, and prioritizing human rights and international law.
