Here's What You Missed: Larkin's FL-25 Campaign Surges with Viral Fox News Moment, New Ad, Endorsements, and a Record Canvass

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — It has been a blowout week for Oliver Larkin's campaign in Florida's 25th Congressional District, with new fundraising numbers, a wave of endorsements, a viral Fox News moment, a CNN interview with Laura Coates, a new TV ad, and a record canvass, all with less than three weeks until the August 18 Democratic primary against Rep. Jared Moskowitz.

The campaign's fundraising keeps pace with its momentum, raising over $300,000 in the last six weeks without a dime from corporate PACs or AIPAC. Polling from Middle Seat shows Larkin beating both likely Republican nominees in a general election matchup, 43 percent to 34 percent against George Moraitis and 45 percent to 33 percent against Scott Singer.

Momentum is building on the endorsement front too. Colorado DSA Congresswoman-elect Melat Kiros threw her support behind Larkin this week, joining a growing list of progressive wins nationwide that Larkin's campaign has been part of since day one as the first national DSA endorsement for Congress this cycle. Friends of the Earth Action and the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida also endorsed Larkin, citing his record against fossil fuel money and his support for a Green New Deal. Larkin picked up further support from 1199 SEIU, CWA Local 3100, USCPR Action, the Florida Health Justice Project, Florida Youth Democrats, and former Tamarac Mayor Mike Gelin.

The biggest moment came when Larkin appeared on Fox News with anchor Trace Gallagher, who tried to use child abuse as a pretext to scapegoat immigrants. Larkin turned the question back on Donald Trump and the still-unreleased Epstein files, calling on Congress to hold "this pedophile Donald Trump accountable" and everyone named in the files the Department of Justice is still withholding. The segment cut off immediately after his answer. The clip has topped a million views on Instagram alone, and it has since been reposted by several content creators and outlets, continuing to gain steam.

The campaign also kicked off canvassing with a record turnout, knocking on over 3,662 doors in a single weekend, part of a field program that has now reached more than 100,000 voters across the district. That kickoff came alongside the launch of a new campaign ad called "The Good Life," which has already drawn over 513,000 views on YouTube and is airing on ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX affiliates in South Florida. The ad, from filmmaker Alex O'Keefe, contrasts Larkin's affordability agenda with Moskowitz's Elon Musk campaign donations and self-description as a "twice-appointed Ron DeSantis Democrat."

Through it all, Moskowitz still has not agreed to debate Larkin, despite Larkin's public calls for a face-off before voters head to the polls.

"South Florida is paying attention, and they like what they see," said Larkin. "We're out knocking doors, we're growing every single week, and we're doing it without a dime of corporate PAC or AIPAC money. Jared Moskowitz can keep hiding from debates and dodging tough questions, but he can't hide from the voters much longer."
