FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 28, 2025
Deerfield Beach, FL — Oliver Larkin’s Democratic campaign for Congress in Florida’s 23rd U.S. House district announced the endorsement of Catch Fire Movement, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization dedicated to building a pipeline for progressive electoral leadership.
“South Florida is ready for a new generation of leadership, and that leader is Oliver Larkin,” the Catch Fire Movement board wrote. “He’s taking on corporate power head-on: rejecting corporate PAC money and running on Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, a $25 minimum wage, and overturning Citizens United.”
“For more than a decade, Oliver has been part of the national progressive movement—lifting up LGBTQIA+ rights, defending immigrants, protecting public lands, and pushing for real climate resilience in South Florida. Catch Fire Movement is proud to endorse Oliver Larkin for Congress.”
Larkin is a former Democratic campaign staffer and marketing professional running in the Democratic primary to unseat incumbent Rep. Jared Moskowitz. This is his first campaign for public office.
“I am proud to have the support of Catch Fire Movement for our race to deliver real change for South Floridians and people nationwide,” Larkin said. “Our work to end ICE’s civil rights abuses, end our support for endless war, and reinvest at home is just beginning. The American people deserve a progressive system of taxation that expands Social Security, guarantees universal healthcare, childcare, paid family and medical leave, free college, and bans congressional stock trading.”
Catch Fire Movement’s endorsed U.S. House candidates also include Randy Bryce (WI-01), Emily Barge (WI-03), Angela Gonzalez-Torres (CA-34), and Eric Descheenie (AZ-02).
