Ban the Trade PAC Endorses Democrat Oliver Larkin in Primary against Incumbent Jared Moskowitz

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 8, 2025
Deerfield Beach, FL — Oliver Larkin’s campaign for Congress announced the endorsement of Ban the Trade PAC, the first federal political action committee of its kind dedicated to pressuring Democratic and Republican lawmakers to support a ban on congressional stock trading.
“Oliver worked across the country, from New Hampshire to Kansas, to hear from working people before returning to his own neighborhood in South Florida to amplify the needs of the communities he grew up with,” Ban the Trade PAC founder Connor Farrell said in their endorsement. “Now, he’s running for Congress on a platform to combat rising costs that are hurting our families and end congressional stock trading.”
Larkin’s campaign is refusing corporate PAC funding and running on a platform of Medicare for All, free college and childcare, paid family and medical leave, and a $25 federal minimum wage to address the cost of living crisis.
Larkin brings a decade of experience to the 23rd district primary as a Democratic campaign staffer and marketing professional working with elected leaders in Congress. This is his first campaign for public office.
“Rep. Jared Moskowitz, the Florida Democrat whose net worth has jumped nearly 60% since he ran for office in 2022, has traded over $3 million in stocks, becoming one of the most prolific traders in Congress today,” Ban the Trade PAC’s statement added. “We know Oliver can win this fight, but he needs our support to do so, and we need to back him now.”
Ban the Trade PAC was formed in 2025 and aims to raise up to seven figures for their efforts, Axios reported in May. A 2023 University of Maryland study found overwhelming majorities of voters in excess of 80 percent of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents support a ban on congressional stock trading.
“Our campaign is proud to accept Ban the Trade PAC’s endorsement. We agree that now is the time to unite Americans from across the political spectrum to support a higher standard of ethics, accountability, and public service for our elected officials,” Larkin said.
