Fort Lauderdale, FL — Oliver Larkin’s campaign for Congress in FL-23 announced the endorsement of the Palm Beach & Treasure Coast Democratic Socialists of America:
“We endorse Oliver Larkin because his campaign centers material working-class priorities with a platform that addresses the material conditions shaping daily life in South Florida,” the statement read. “The cost of living is out of control. Healthcare remains unaffordable while environmental degradation directly threatens local livelihoods in a capitalist political system that too often prioritizes profit over the people's wellbeing. Larkin has made clear commitments that align with DSA’s core purpose of building working-class power and international solidarity, including support for Medicare for All, raising wages to a living standard, and major democracy reforms aimed at increasing the political power of the majority of the population.”
The statement added, “In South Florida, environmental conditions are inseparable from housing, employment, and public health. Ecological failure directly affects livelihoods. Larkin has emphasized the need for ambitious environmental restoration and climate resilience, including projects tied to Florida Bay and the coral reefs, recognizing that ‘our environment is our economy.’ With this endorsement we reflect the democratic decision of our membership and our belief that politics should be accountable to working people, not corporate power. We invite supporters across FL-23 to join us in building a campaign rooted in solidarity and dignity.”
“DSA across District 23 is united,” said campaign manager Zack Bofshever. “We must address the affordability crisis, confront authoritarianism, and win universal economic policies—Medicare for All, a $25 minimum wage, and universal childcare. South Floridians deserve a representative who works for them, not corporate PACs—which is why Oliver’s support is growing by the day.”
“South Floridians deserve leaders in Congress who will confront the greed of the billionaire class,” said Larkin. “Our campaign is building a movement to win this Democratic primary and the general election to win real change in Washington, DC.”
Palm Beach & Treasure Coast DSA’s endorsement follows Broward DSA in December 2025.
